Today was that time for Emma. After leaving work those brake dust covered front wheels and dirty side skirts were a welcome sight.

Are you still selling it?

Attempting and failing.

What do you want as a new car, also, whats the price on the m3?

I’m so torn on what I would want to replace it it’s not funny.
$5000 is what I have it listed for, which I thought was a decent price since I’ve seen similar auto models going for that much. Guess not maybe?

A new camaro? Maybe a gti?
![]() 04/03/2016 at 19:00 |

And 5000 is not bad at all, where are you?

Oh no. The budget would be whatever I sell the M for. Something like an Accord or Grand Prix.
Also, I’m in St. Louis.

Never seen one between the proper lines before. Was this picture taken on April fools day?

Some comment about the black tape on the headlights.

Meh. They function as intended. Low on my change list.

Oh, I would go for a cts if I could find one, I am in West Virginia so that may be a little far, how is the interior.

Ew, you named your car Emma?
![]() 04/03/2016 at 19:26 |

I actually believe that the price is a little low, that may lead buyers to believe that there is something wrong with it. If it is in fair condition I say it could go for 8900.

Yep.

A serious note – maybe the headlights are the problem!
Thinking from a potential buyer’s perspective (i.e. thinking like someone who’s never seen any of your posts), those lights, on a car that otherwise looks well-sorted, imply the ‘well-sortedness’ is just skin deep...
Just some food for thought. GLWS!

Well a friend did and it stuck, so...

I mean in the ad I literally state every mechanical repair I’ve done to the car so I figured they could look past the headlights.

Don’t feel bad. Everyone hates my car’s name, too. Haha.
![]() 04/03/2016 at 20:41 |

But Sylvia is a great name!
![]() 04/03/2016 at 20:49 |

I usually get “Hur durr you named your Mazda after a Nissan hurr.”
Too bad the Nissan is called “Silvia” and my car is “Sylvia.”

CL, right? The thing is, only core enthusiasts can look past the headlights.
I’d wager that the majority of CL trawlers are either looking for crap-cans for three pennies and an off-key pop refrain, or are people whose knowledge of their favorite car goes only as far as what it looks like.
If your car was a piece of crap that was 100% on point visually, it would sell drastically faster, I guarantee it. So it’s not your ad or the headlights
per se
, it’s the clientele.
That said, have you tried listing on Autotrader? I’m thinking there’s a higher concentration of actual, knowledgeable enthusiasts on there...
Edit:
how much do you think you’d net if you bought the stock lights and then craigslisted the existing ones? Just popped into my head.

Yeah, feel the love.

Eh, I can give that a pass. It’s not a bad name, I just think naming your car is like trying to pick your own nickname.
